About Hero

Our History, Mission & Beliefs

Rooted in Scripture, Committed to the Church, Equipping Servant Leaders

Our Mission

To provide Christ-centered, biblically grounded, and academically rigorous theological education that equips God's people for faithful ministry, sound doctrine, spiritual maturity, and servant leadership in the church and the world.

Our Vision

To see a global community of pastors, teachers, church leaders, and believers who rightly handle the Word of God, live out the gospel faithfully, and advance God's kingdom with wisdom, courage, and grace.

Our History

Charis College of Theology was founded in 2015 by Pastor Birendra Subba with a burden to provide accessible, biblically faithful, and theologically sound training for Nepali-speaking pastors, church leaders, and believers in Nepal and around the world. What began as a vision for teaching and discipleship has grown into a broader theological training ministry serving students from diverse places and backgrounds.

From the beginning, Charis has remained committed to combining academic seriousness with spiritual devotion. Our goal is not merely to transmit theological knowledge, but to form faithful servants of Christ who are rooted in Scripture, committed to the local church, and prepared to teach, lead, and serve with truth, humility, and love.

Charis History

Statement of Faith

Charis College of Theology stands in the historic evangelical Christian faith and affirms the foundational truths of biblical Christianity. We believe in:

The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the God-breathed Word of God, fully authoritative, truthful, and sufficient for faith and life.
One true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The sovereignty, holiness, love, and justice of God in creation, providence, redemption, and final judgment.
The full deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His birth through the virgin Mary, His sinless life, His miracles, and His perfect obedience to the Father.
The substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and the salvation of sinners.
The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present ministry as Lord and our great High Priest.
The personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ.
The fallen and sinful condition of humanity, and the need for repentance, regeneration, and salvation by the grace of God.
Justification by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
The regenerating, indwelling, sanctifying, and empowering work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
The universal church as the body of Christ, expressed in local churches for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission.
The bodily resurrection of all people. Believers will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, where their works will be evaluated and rewards will be given; unbelievers will appear before the Great White Throne Judgment and will face eternal punishment.
